Chrysler caused quite a stir recently by dominating the AAA Top Vehicle Picks for 2015. Among the favorites were both the Chrysler 300 and the Jeep Renegade, both beating out competitors in their respective segments.
According to Chrysler, the 300 was named Top Pick in the full-size sedan segment, and the Jeep Renegade was named Top Pick in the “Cool Car Segment.” You heard right – the Renegade was chosen as the coolest new car on the market, especially thanks to its off-road capability and new styling.
“It has personality, character, and most importantly, it is iconic Jeep in spades. Its appearance suggests a cartoonish ruggedness and its Trail Rated credibility confirm its off-road capability. There’s no denying the little Renegade is a head turner,” said Jim Prueter, AAA automotive journalist.
The Jeep Renegade’s off-road capability is best-in-class thanks to several new features. These include a nine-speed automatic transmission, KONI selective damping system, Active Drive modes, Hill Descent Control, and of course, Four-Wheel Drive. With all of these features, plus a redesigned look, it’s no wonder the Renegade was named Top Pick.
