After showing up at the Chicago Auto Show with the Colorado GearOn Edition, Chevrolet has now brought a new version of its favorite midsize pickup truck to Cleveland: the Trail Boss Edition.

This new edition mostly serves the same purpose as the old one—to show the flexibility and versatility of the Colorado—except this time it uses the Z71 off-road truck suspension package, aggressive tires, and additional appearance enhancements instead of the GearOn accessories.

In addition to the Z71 package and among numerous other features, the Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition comes equipped with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac 265/65R17 all-terrain tires and 17-inch dark argent metallic painted cast-aluminum wheels; a G80 automatic locking rear differential; front fog lamps and projector beam headlamps; GearOn moveable cargo tie-down rings, load bar, and cargo divider; black fender flares and front and rear black Chevy bowtie logos.

“The Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition is equally at home blazing an urban trail or following one to a favorite remote campground,” said Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager. “It gives owners the gear-carrying ability and versatility they need to venture off-road, with segment-leading efficiency and capability.”

It’ll go on sale this spring, along with the Colorado GearOn Edition, at Carl Hogan Automotive!
