If you’re looking for a new vehicle that stimulates the U.S. economy and provides jobs to people in America, you’ll want to buy a vehicle from a General Motors brand like Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC, or Buick. No auto brand has more vehicles that are made in America than GM.
In studies conducted by Cars.com and the American University Kogod School of Business, an impressive number of GM models were ranked highly for American-made qualities. Both studies’ rankings looked at criteria like the percentage of employees who are in the US, the percentage of parts made in the US, where the engines and transmissions come from, and where the final assembly of the vehicle occurs.
The Cars.com American-Made Index included nine GM vehicles in its top 25. GM scored even better in the Kogod School’s Made in America Index, with 10 models in the top 25.
The Chevrolet Corvette ranked highest on the Cars.com index, while the Chevrolet Camaro was the top GM model ranked by the Kogod School. Other GM models that scored well include the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon trucks; the Cadillac XT4, XT5, and XT6 crossovers; and the Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans.
