After being absent for years from the General Motors lineup, the legendary Hummer is set to return to dealership lots as an all-electric vehicle by early 2022.
General Motors recognizes that the automotive industry is largely moving towards more sustainable vehicles, which is why the recently announced GMC Hummer is just one of many upcoming electric trucks. The GMC Hummer is expected to have an all-electric range of approximately 400 miles. The Hummer’s incredible range means drivers can enjoy long road trips and commutes without having to stop for a charge as frequently. This new no-emissions Hummer is a far cry from the 2010 Hummer H3, which was notorious for being a gas guzzler.
Though the Hummer offers an impressive environmental benefit to drivers, the truck isn’t afraid to pack a hefty punch of performance. According to General Motors, the GMC Hummer EV’s powerful zero-emission engine will be able to produce up to 1,000 horsepower and as much as 11,500 lb-ft of torque. Because of the truck’s phenomenal capabilities, the GMC Hummer is expected to be able to accelerate from 0 – 60 MPH in just three seconds.
Though its release is still two years out, reach out to Carl Hogan Automotive if you want to be the first to know when the all-electric GMC Hummer hits our lot.
